Deadlines:
Postmark deadline: MAY 15, 2012
Entry fee: $25 ($20 for Withoutabox entries).
Free to students attending non-U.S. schools**.
** Note: NextFrame waives the entry fee for students whose projects were completed while attending a non-U.S. school. This waiver does not apply to international students studying within the United States (at a U.S. school).
Accepted payment: Personal check, money order, certified check. Entrants using Withoutabox may pay online using a valid credit/debit card.
Application Materials Checklist:
- 2012 Application form
(paper or online through Withoutabox)
- Preview copy of your film/video
(see below for instructions)
- Photocopy of your student ID
- Digital press kit (optional)
Preparing Your Media Materials:
We require a preview copy of your film/video in one of the following formats:
- DVD (NTSC)
- DVD (PAL)
- Quicktime or M4V file burned onto disc.
Please clearly label your preview copy with the following information:
- Your name
- Project Title
- Name of your school
- Year in School (Graduate/Undergraduate)
- Video standard (NTSC/PAL)
- Total run-time
- Your Withoutabox entry number (if applicable).
Student Identification:
NextFrame only accepts student work. This means that a significant production role (Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Cinematographer) must have been performed by a student while enrolled in an institution of higher education at the time of the project’s production. You must include a photocopy of your student ID with your application materials. Failure to include this documentation will affect the processing of your application and may result in disqualification.
Online Submissions:
NextFrame accepts submissions through our festival partner, withoutabox.com.
Paper Submissions:
We also accept submissions from entrants preferring to use our paper application form. Complete this form in full and mail it, along with your film/video sample to:
