Ms. Maverick is an avatar needled by voices, real or imagined, that stomp her into a prescribed social position. In the gallery, a two-way mirror is hung (landscape) in front of a monitor playing the video. The video and the reflections of the viewer are mixed. The viewer wears headphones and watches Ms. Maverick (a female figure) leap on a trampoline, shot from above and a doll pincushion while listening to a Scots Poem titled Miss Maverick.’ The video is 2 minutes long with stereo audio. The video also stands alone as a single channel video for traditional film and video festival screenings as a short experimental piece.
