Judy’s Time
By Erin Flannery, University of Southern California, Beta Cam, 40 min.
Judy’s Time is a moving and often humorous portrayal of a woman
whose athletic talent sparked a spectacular midlife transformation and changed the community around her. At age 38, .ludy Flannery, a mother of five, began Jogging, worked her way up to marathons and eventually the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon (a 2.4- mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run). At age 57, when she was struck and killed by an out-of-control car while training on her bike, Flannery was a four- time world champion triathlete, still peaking—the most decorated athlete in the history of her sport.
