Reinvention is the story of Pete and Mary, a couple who find each other late in life and are determined to have a second childhood. Pete, an eighty-three year old inventor who has created a medley of strange devices such as the Pabst Blue Ribbon Gopher Killer, is inspired to keep creating with the help of his sixty-six year old girlfriend and muse, Mary. Both widowers, Pete and Mary are determined to reinvent their lives together, spending their days testing gadgets and their nights swing dancing.
